Goal is $250

Having a brain condition has certainly made life challenging for me. I have struggled both mentally and physically because of it. Most times working through the pain of an invisible illness with a smile on my face. After a near death experience from a surgery I had to help better my situation, I finally reached a place where I can be active again.
One day after a long 6 month recovery, I had the urge to try to climb a mountain. I loved it, so I climbed it again…and again. I kept running into the same woman at the summit. That woman is now someone I consider a life long friend. She asked if I have ever hiked in the winter and I explained I never hiked before then (this was 2.5 yrs ago). She asked if I wanted to winter hike with her and I thought she was crazy. Winter hiking in NH was way out of my league. She took me under her wing anyway and introduced me to hiking in The White Mountains…in the winter! The second I walked out to the summit of Mt Willard and saw that picturesque view, I was hooked! All my struggles simply disappeared and my heart was overcomewith the feeling of joy. She opened my eyes to something I never imagined possible for myself. I was finally able to do something I love. Something that brings me peace and happiness. Not to say that hiking comes without any struggles. There is always a battle to overcome on each hike. I am certainly not as fast as most either, but I am doing it and that is all that matters! The people I have met have been so supportive of my condition and with each hike I become better and better. Hiking mountains has given me such mental clarity and strength to push myself to unimaginable limits.
Those that know me, know I never ask for donations or handouts of any sort and would give the shirt off my back for those I care about just to see a smile on their face. Today, I am asking for you to help a cause that is important not only to myself, but to so many struggling through the pain with a smile on their face.
I am climbing Mt Washington not just for me, but for so many that may be struggling and can’t do it.
I make videos of my hikes and have had so many people reach out to me thanking me for recording while I hike and that it makes them feel as if they are there too. Most of these people can no longer hike due to health reasons of their own. So please help me reach my goal! Let’s do this one step at a time! 💪❤️🥾
I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. Would you consider making a donation, leaving a message, or sharing this page? Thank you in advance! 💪❤️🥾
