As an EMT with 22 years of service, I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of mental health struggles on individuals, families, and communities. I’ve lost count of the number of calls l’ve responded to where mental health played a critical role. But l’ve also seen the transformative power of support, resources, and compassion.

My husband’s experience as a veteran has also given me a unique perspective on the importance of mental health awareness. The sacrifices our military members and their families make are immeasurable, and it’s our duty to ensure they receive the care and support they deserve.

That’s why l’m committed to breaking down stigmas surrounding mental health and advocating for increased resources and support. Everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of their background or circumstances.

But my passion doesn’t stop there. As an avid outdoorsperson and trail enthusiast, l’m also dedicated to preserving our natural spaces for future generations. Trails have a unique ability to heal, inspire, and connect us – and I believe that’s especially important for those struggling with mental health.

So, I’ll keep advocating, keep pushing for change, and keep shining a light on these critical issues. I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Together, we can make a difference and create a world where everyone has access to quality mental health care and the opportunity to connect with nature
