The construction industry faces one of the highest suicide rates of any profession — a heartbreaking statistic that reflects the urgent need for awareness, support, and change. We’re climbing not just for the breathtaking views, but to send a powerful message: it’s okay to not be okay. Together, we can fight the stigma, raise vital funds, and show our peers that mental health matters.
At Red Dog’s Roofing, we believe it’s time to break the silence around mental health in the construction industry. That’s why our team is lacing up our boots and taking on the challenge of hiking Mt. Washington in New Hampshire to support Hike for Mental Health.
Every step we take is for our coworkers, friends, families, and the countless individuals who need to know they’re not alone.

HIKE for Mental Health is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on the vision of a world in which everyone, including those who suffer mental illness, can find the simple joy of living.
Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of those afflicted by mental illness, eliminate the associated stigma, and foster responsible use of wilderness trails.
As an all-volunteer organization, we distribute 100% of contributions raised by our hikes.
- 80% funds scientific research to understand and treat mental illness
- 20% conserves national wilderness trails
