On March 20, 2025 I will be taking a solo trip to Oregon for 5 days to hike in the Oregon Mammoth March on March 22. It is a 20 mile hike in 8hrs. As someone who manages life with mental health struggles, I take to nature as medicine to bring me back to my soul and ease my mind. I have been hiking with a wonderful group of strong women for months, as well as some solo hikes, and now want to take a leap of faith for myself and my mental health to embark on this trip. A big challenge I am terrified for, but welcoming.

Nestled in the foothills of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, the Beaver State’s biggest State Park is a standout scenic treasure that features 10 impressive waterfalls and a dense forested landscape. Our 20-mile hiking route will put everything on display that the “crown jewel” of the Oregon Park system has to offer.

I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. Would you consider making a donation, leaving a message, or sharing this page? Thank you.
