Why Walk & Get Inked Matters
Walk & Get Inked for Mental Health is more than just an event — it’s personal.
I’ve been part of HIKE for Mental Health (HFMH) since 2015. What started as simply showing up for a hike turned into something much bigger. Over the years, I’ve participated by hiking, donating, fundraising, sharing their mission, and supporting the cause in every way I could.
Hiking changed me. It showed me the power of movement, fresh air, and community when it comes to mental health. It reminded me that healing doesn’t only happen in an office — it can happen on a trail, in conversation, in connection.
Now, creating Walk & Get Inked feels like a full-circle moment.
This event brings together two powerful forms of expression:
-
Movement in nature
-
Creative self-expression through art and ink
Both create space for people to feel seen, connected, and supported.
Mental health impacts all of us — whether personally or through someone we love. Funds raised through this event support mental health research and trail conservation through HIKE for Mental Health, a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to making a difference.
Your donation helps:
• Break stigma
• Support research
• Protect trails
• Strengthen community
Thank you for being part of something that means so much to me. Together, we walk. Together, we create. Together, we support mental health.
I chose to join a hike with HIKE for Mental Health to help stamp out the stigma of mental illness and conserve wilderness trails. Would you consider making a donation, leaving a message, or sharing this page? Thank you.
